The Screenshot editor is a built-in tool to modify a captured image. |
The Screenshot Editor will be accessible, if you capture the Desktop via the Capture desktop item from the General menu
and click the button in the right-bottom part of the Editor window.
Now you can:
- increase any part of a captured image and draw on it with the help of the Zoom tool
- draw color lines with the help of the Pencil tool
- draw color direct lines with the help of the Line tool
- draw color direct lines with arrows
- draw rectangles, ellipses, round rectangles
- erase the lines, text and pictures with the help of the Erase tool
- create the stamp
- write any text with the help of the Text tool
- write any text in rectangle
- insert another picture in a captured image with the help of the Picture tool
- insert a picture from clipboard
- apply the filters with the help the Goodies tool
- rotate, resize any part of the captured image
- select some color for pencil using the whole captured image
- undo, redo, clear a selected part, clear all
There are three sorts of preview and two zooms for your comfortable work.
Zoom
If you press the button you'll have possibility to work with a captured image in a separately window: to draw and to erase lines, to refresh image, to show the grid, to zoom the image. In addition for erasing you may use the right button with the mouse.
Shape for selecting rectangle
The button allows select the shape of rectangle for selecting of the part of a captured image. Press the corresponding button to select the rectangle, round rectangle, ellipse or polygon
Pencil
If you select the button, you
can draw the lines on a captured image. Set its width and color.
Direct line
If you select the button
you can draw the direct lines, rectangles, ellipses, etc.
Erase
If you select the button you can erase the lines and text that you had drawn with the
help this editor. The area of erasing is defined by .
Stamp
If you select the button you can create the stamp (almost as in Photoshop). In order to select some part for the stamp press the 'Alt' key + the left button with the mouse and move the mouse then free the key and the left button. Your stamp will be created. Click the left button with the mouse and you can insert the stamp's image in a captured image.
Text
If you select the button you can write any text on a captured image. Set font with the button, color of rectangle background and border, select single or multi line sort of text. Next simply click on any point of a captured image with the help the left
button with the mouse. You'll see the field for input of text: . At this moment you can drag this field. After you input the text press the ENTER key to apply or Esc or Del to cancel.
Picture
If you select the button you can insert any picture (BMP, JPG, GIF, ICO, CUR) in a captured image. At first select some picture with the help the button after click the left button with the mouse in any part of a captured image, move the inserted picture, if you want and click outside picture or press the ENTER key. If you change your mind to insert some picture simply press the ESC or Del keys.

If you select the button you can do with the whole a captured image or its part the next:
inverse of image
made a grey image
sharpen a captured image
smoothed out a captured image
made a relief on a captured image
configurate every channel of a captured image separately
configurate of image colors in HLS-space
blend two images
made the gamma correction of a captured image
rotate, resize any part of the captured image
Some of these buttons have the button next to itself. It allows to configurate the corresponding effect and apply it.
Color
In order to set some color for a line, a rectangle border or background there are three ways:
- via the Options window.
- place the cursor of the mouse in the lowest picture or any part of a captured image (previously pressed the
button) and click the left button.
- place the cursor of the mouse in the small panel (the right top corner of this picture) and double click the left
button, you'll see a standart dialog window for setting a color. To remove this panel simply press the Alt key and move your mouse. To restore the default position of it simply double click on picture.
Clear, Clear All, Undo, Redo
The button clears a selected part of a captured image in other word returns a background image.
The button clears the whole captured image entirely in other word returns the background image.
The buttons abolishes the last operations.
